The Ajenza Raga & Scale Player is a free interactive tool that runs entirely in your browser. Choose a raga — Yaman, Bhairav, Bhairavi, Kafi, Bhoopali, Malkauns and more — and see its aroha (ascending) and avaroha (descending) swaras, then hear them played. The one-octave keyboard highlights only the notes that belong to the raga, so you can explore and practise its swaras in any key by setting your Sa. Every note is synthesized live with the Web Audio API. Pair it with the shruti box or tanpura for a drone underneath.

What are aroha and avaroha?
Aroha is the ascending note order of a raga; avaroha is the descending order. The tool shows and plays both.
Can I change the key?
Yes — set your Sa with the pitch slider and the keyboard and playback follow.

No. Everything is generated live in your browser with the Web Audio API.
